In 1999 I aspired to photograph all the covered bridges in Indiana.  The effort was completed in 2002 with publication of "The quiet Path: Covered Bridges of Indiana."  Each photograph is a tribute to the majesty and serene quality of these magnificent structures.  I wish I could have photographed each bridge in its prime season, usually being autumn.  In some photos it might appear something is lacking and for good reason.  Many times it was necessary to eliminate part of the bridge, or position a tree in front of it because of the graffiti, or some obstacle that would obviously alter the image quality.  There was not enough time to make it perfect...
